Concept:Very strong |
Technical Skill:Strong |
Impact/impression:Strong |
Pros:The concept of making the composition and crop like this is brilliant. Good work on the technique aswell.
Cons:With a crop that's just a bit tighter than this, cropping it untill the piece of background to the right of the throat dissapears, it would be a perfect composition and level of tension.
Overall opinion/feedback:Good work, but not there JUST yet. +9

Concept:Strong |
Technical Skill:Strong |
Impact/impression:Strong |
Pros:Nice clean style
Impressive use of colour / contrast At last, someone who understands that shadows aren't uniform grey, or simply desaturated versions of the same colour... Cons:...having said that, despite the expertise you used to create the shadow, the picture would be way better without it. Not only would its impact be heightened, but the layout would serve as an effective parody of textbook composition
The grain on the wall seems to follow the intensity of the light, when there's no reason it should Overall opinion/feedback:Impressive skills, but unless the shadow means something then IMO you made a mistake including it +8/10

Only thing that bugs me is the line of the neck..it may just be the severe cropping but it looks a little skew! I masked my monitor with some paper, cropping the face even more severly and losing the neck completely and personally I think it makes a better composition....just my opinion of course!
